We spent the day enjoying the SNOW and white sands while sledding down the dunes. For $17.00 you get a USED sled and a brick of wax.
You can keep the sled or return it for a koozie. We choose to return it and I gave the wax to a young couple.
What fun! It was a lot of work walking up the dunes but well worth the experience. Vince took 1 ride ???? and decided that was enough for him.
Mark rode down 3 times and the last time he got “air” over a Yucca Bush. Then he was done.
Laureen did 18 runs!!. The first 6 were beginner type dunes then we drove to the “professional” dunes. ????
It was a great day to laugh.
That’s the top of the dune, with our rigs at the bottom. If you zoom in, you can see Kim. When you are looking up at the dune, it doesn’t seem to steep. When you are looking down the dune, it seems a bit scary. Normally there is no snow, just sand to sled down. The snow made it easier to slide but I would have loved to try just sand.

New Mexico has beautiful sunsets, neat little towns nestled in the valleys and interesting landscape.
Looks like you're having a blast no matter what you do! Thank you so much for sharing your pictures & experiences – feels like we're with you!! Keep enjoying!! ????
Thanks. We are glad you are enjoying the blog. It's a fun way to scrapbook our trip.
