We drove about 7 hours from Port Aux Basque to Twillingate, the Iceburg Alley.
Laureen spotted the first Iceburg from the road. Little did we know we’d be getting up close and personal to it.
Mark and Laureen took a tour of an old fishing town.
Ten-pound lobster
Lobster traps in the water
Headed to a restaurant to enjoy lobster. Of course, the GPS sent us a difficult way.
Double checking
Hmm, we’ve got to get over there.
We made it!
Good night, from the back deck of our AirBNB.
The next morning at 9:30am, a blustery +3 (brr) we set out on a boat to see the amazing icebergs.
Here they come!!!
There was 1 big iceberg with 3 pieces sticking out. This iceberg is melting at a fast pace. As the captain said, “it’s close to its expiry date “.
Sixteen more are on their way and they expect the first one to arrive in 10 to 14 days. Iceberg season is May and June.
Beautiful ????
The Icebergs were flipping amazing. Laureen’s cheeks hurt so much after that tour, from smiling so much.
“We see land”!
