New Orleans City Tour and Ghost Walking Tour February 26, 2020

The first thing that we did when we arrived in New Orleans was to go to the French Quarter Visitor’s Center. We booked our tours and started the fun from there. What Frank (the booking guide) neglected to tell us was that with the parade routes during Mardis Gras, the tours will be different because they can’t get through the streets.  Basically, all we got to see was a cemetery and the I-10 highway. Very disappointed.  We missed seeing City Park, Saint Louis Cathedral, Museum district, Katrina, Jackson Square and the French Quarter.  Luckily, we stayed in the New Orleans area long enough that we could do it on our own. The only thing we didn’t get to do was tour City Park.

Weeping Angel.  Beautiful.

For the Ghost tour, the guys decided to stay at a pub, so Kim and Laureen went.  We chose the Historical tour, and we learned a lot.  The history was quite sad actually.  As for seeing ghosts, it didn’t happen.  The guide told us about happenings but none of them were in the 2020’s. I think 2010 or 2011 was the last documented sighting.

The house from American Horror Story 3, Madame LaLaurie’s Mansion.  What she did made me cry.  Google her if you dare.
The balcony sight.
Ursuline Convent.  The oldest building in New Orleans with vampire sightings/stories and unexplained incidents.
