We parked Vince and Kim’s truck and trailer and our trailer in a parking facility in Sydney, then the four of us took Mark’s truck across to Newfoundland.
The ferry is HUGE!
You have to be checked in 2 hours ahead of time. You are given a lane to park your vehicle while you wait to board the ferry. You can stroll the terminal or wait in your vehicle until boarding time is announced.
Some cool vehicles. There were about 4 of these RVs (different styles) traveling together. They are European RV’s, shipped from Europe by the owners.
We were parked on deck 5.
Three of us took Gravol type stuff, Mark didn’t. ????
The amenities are excellent.
Games room
Playroom
Movie room
Airport-style seating room
Internet lounge/snack bar/restaurant
They also have cabins for an extra $61. We didn’t do that, but we’d definitely recommend it if the ferry was crowded.
Some sights from the ferry

Leaving Nova Scotia
Arriving at Port Aux Basque, Newfoundland.
We all survived!
Our first step on the Rock
With a quick stop for supper at Bob’s Chicken (delicious), we arrived at Codroy Valley Cabins.
The Gulf of St. Lawrence drains into the Grand Codroy River.
A cute 2-bedroom cabin.
